Celebrations….
October sees the publication of THE MOTHERHOOD MIX-UP, my seventy-fifth title for Harlequin Mills & Boon and I am thrilled to have reached such a milestone. I never imagined when my first book appeared way back in the late 80s that I would go on to write so many more but here I am, holding a copy of number 75 in my hands. The fact that I absolutely loved writing this book is just a bonus!
I got the idea for this book during a shopping trip to my local town centre. I stopped for coffee and overheard two women at the next table talking about IVF. One of their daughters was undergoing IVF treatment and this lady was worried in case something went wrong. As she said to her friend, wouldn’t I be awful if the wrong embryo was implanted? It immediately piqued my interest! I kept thinking about what would happen if a woman discovered the child she had given birth to wasn’t actually hers…
I hope you enjoy Mia and Leo’s story as much as I enjoyed writing it. Do leave a comment to let me know what you think you would do if you found yourself in a similar situation. It’s an intriguing thought, isn’t it?
Love to you all,
Jennifer

Hi Tina,
Thanks for stopping by. I am still on a high after reaching this milestone. Every time I use my gorgeous Tiffany key fob (presented too me by Harlequin to mark the occasion) I get a real thrill.
Enjoy the book!
Jennifer.
Congratulations of 75 books, Jennifer! You were one of the very first Medical authors whose books I read, way back in the day – and your books still touch my heart xxx
Kate, that is such a lovely thing for you to say. I feel one of the luckiest people alive as I not only get to do a job I adore but I work with such great people too.

I guess there’s a moral to the story of how you got the idea. When in doubt, always stop for coffee 🙂
Thank you, Annie. It’s so kind of you to say that. And stopping for coffee is definitely essential, I find…or that’s what I tell myself!
