Well, I made it back again and without too lengthy a delay this time. Last Saturday’s meal was delicious and I enjoyed every mouthful. It also provided me with a scene for my latest book so that was another plus. This is the sort of research I really enjoy!

The Son that Changed His Life

The Son that Changed His Life

This month sees the publication of the second title in my Bride’s Bay trilogy. The Son that Changed His Life tells the story of French doctor Benedict Legrange and the shock he has when he meets his ex girlfriend, Emily’s son. Although Emily had told Ben that she was expecting his child, he hadn’t believed her. Having been treated for cancer several years earlier, and told then that he would never father a child, he had every reason to doubt what she was saying. However, when he sees Theo he realises immediately that the little boy is his. Whilst he is elated that he has a child, Ben is also afraid. How can he make a commitment to Emily and Theo as he longs to do when his cancer might come back? He cannot bear to think that he might end up hurting the two people he loves most of all.

This book was a real tear-jerker to write and I loved every second of it. I hope you will let me know what you think and what you would do in Ben’s situation. Would you grab happiness with both hands or would you hold back so as not to hurt the people you love? It’s a real dilemma, isn’t it?

So what do I have planned for the rest of the weekend? After taking Gus out, I shall write and then set to and sort out all the drawers and wardrobes in my bedroom. The spring-cleaning bug has bitten early this year and I am determined to clear out all the clothes that I haven’t worn in too many years to mention. Hopefully, I shall stay strong and pop them in a recycling bag and not put them back in the drawers again! That’s my usual trick – I take things out and then decide they are too good to give away… Hmm, I expect you know the feeling only too well.

Anyway, whatever you are doing today then enjoy it! I shall see you next week.
